  Easy weight loss .......

Do you really need to? Many people agonize over a few extra pounds. Being more than 20 percent over the suggested weight for your height may be an indication you have too much body fat (see chart). The way your clothing fits or how you look in the mirror may be helpful in determining if you have too much fat. Also consider whether this is the time for you to attempt weight loss. There are stressful times in our lives when attempting to lose weight is not a good idea.

The reason we exercise is not just to burn those 100-plus calories for every mile we walk. Exercise does much more--it helps to increase our metabolic rate so we burn calories faster, Also, studies show that for a few hours following exercise, we continue to burn calories at a faster rate.

  Healthy Dieting......

Don't eat a large meal in the evening when you'll have little opportunity for exercise afterwards. It's best to eat more at the times when you are going to be the most active. Eat a hearty breakfast, a substantial lunch, and a light dinner.

Never skip breakfast!

Eat slowly and thoroughly chew your food.

Don't eat while you're doing anything else like watching TV, using the computer or doing your homework.

Stop frying food.

If you must snack, stock the fridge with low calorie snacks like raw vegetables and low fat yogurt.

  Food in Dieting.....

Correctly combining foods makes all the difference in the world to proper digestion, cholesterol and metabolism. Without complete digestion, the nutrients in even the most wholesome food cannot be fully extracted and assimilated by the body.

Moreover, incomplete digestion and inefficient metabolism are the prime causes of fat and cholesterol accumulation in the body.

A low calorie diet of overcooked, processed and improperly combined foods will still make you fat and leave sticky deposits in your arteries, just as the wrong mix of fuels will leave carbon deposits on the spark plugs of an engine, clog the pistons, and create foul gaseous exhaust.

  Some Instruction for Dieting.......

I don’t mean to sound too much like your mother, but you should get into the habit of eating a good breakfast. You may want to consider keeping a box of breakfast bars handy for all those mornings you’re running late for class. There are a multitude of breakfast bars available on the market. Pick one with a high fibre content if you can. If you have a little more time on hand, there are plenty of quick, inexpensive breakfast foods that will provide you with enough energy to get through a morning full of classes. Cold breakfast cereals, hot oatmeal (really hits the spot on those dreary winter mornings), fresh fruit, yogurt, a bagel (with or without cream cheese/jam) are all foods you may want to keep in stock, and they take just a couple of minutes to prepare. Most university cafeterias sell similar items, but they’re usually expensive and it’s best to avoid getting into the habit of purchasing your breakfast every morning.

You may find yourself using coffee to get you through those early morning classes. Try to avoid consuming coffee alone for breakfast. There’s nothing wrong with a cup of coffee in the morning, just remember to keep it to a minimum, and eat some food, too.
